Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević and Manager of the PUC City Greenery Mr. Aleksandar Bogdanović visited today works at the protective strip of the Oslobođenja Blvd, in the vicinity of the Futoška Market. The works are intended in order to protect the green surfaces from being treaded upon by the jaywalkers.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Мilоš Vučеvić and Mayor of the City of Pécs Mr. Zsolt Páva discussed today in Pécs the possibilities of cooperation between the two twin cities, in the areas of utility infrastructure, use of the EU IPA funds, as well as the Novi Sad candidacy for the European Culture Capital 2021.
Mayor Páva, whose city won the European Culture Capital Award in 2010, offered Mayor Vučеvić all the necessary assistance and support throughout the process of candidacy for the title.

Deputy Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Borko Ilić received today at the City Hall Chargé d'affaires of the British Embassy Ms. Tracy Gallagher, as well as the Political Officer Ms. Zvezdana Crnogorac, who visited Novi Sad with the aim to extend their gratitude to the City Administration and the organizer of the festival for their hospitality shown towards the British tourists.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević received today at the City Hall the delegation from the twin city of Changchun, headed by a member of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC for the City of Changchun Mr. Gao Guangbin, as well as by the President of the   Board and CPC Undersecretary for the largest state-owned company producing locomotives and railroad wagons ‘China CNR Corporation Limited’ Mr. Wang Run.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučić requested from PC City Construction and Development the information on urban planning of the part of the city center, with regard to the insinuations by the Democratic Party that the recent removal of the trees in Miloša Bajića Street was intentional, contrary to plans, unlawful, and allegedly unbeknownst to the City Administration.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Mr. Branimir Stojanović, accompanied with the Exit Festival Manager Mr. Dušаn Kоvаčеvić, met today the numerous Festival visitors coming to Novi Sad from Kosovo and Metohija.

Today at the Petrovaradinska Fortress Banquet Room, Exit Festival signed the Cooperation Protocol with four regional centers – Novi Sad, Belgrade, Timisoara and Budva. On behalf of the four cities, the Protocol was signed by the Member of the Novi Sad City Council in charge for Budget and Finances Mr. Dejan Mandić, Belgrade City Secretary for Economy Ms. Tijana Maljković, Deputy Head of the Municipality of Budva Mr. Ljubomir Filipović, and Deputy Mayor of the City of Timisoara Mr. Dan Diaconu. Fourth Regional Youth Tourism Fair OPENS YOUTH FAIR 2015, is taking place in Novi Sad from July 7th until July 8th and the official opening ceremony is at the Novi Sad City Hall. At the opening, the guests will be addressed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Commerce, Tourism and Telecommunication Mr. Rasim Ljajić, followed by the state secretary in the Ministry of Sports and Youth Mr. Nenad Borovčanin, Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević, and the manager of the EXIT Team Mr. Dušan Kovačević.

Member of the City Council in charge for Utility Affairs Mr. Vladimir Stojković visited today hot-water network and connection points reconstruction sites in Balzakova Street odd-side (from Cara Lazara Boulevard until Despota Stefana Boulevard). Investment activities in the amount of 307.054.000 RSD, as earmarked by the 2015 Hot-water Network Construction Program, are carried out by PUC ‘Novi Sad Distant Heating’, while the City participates in realization of the Program with funds earmarked in the 2015 Budget – capital subsidies in the amount of 178.000.000 RSD.

Due to the recently announced heatwave forecast and extreme temperature, Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević warranted the PUC ‘Waterworks and Sewage’ to most urgently place water tank trucks with potable water across Novi Sad.
