DEPUTY HEAD OF MISSION OF THE EMBASSY OF SWITZERLAND VISITS NOVI SAD

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević received today the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland Ms. Pauline Manthonnex Gacaferri.
Mayor Vučević wished Ms. Manthonnex Gacaferri a warm welcome to Novi Sad, and extended his utmost pleasure for continuation of excellent cooperation with the Embassy of Switzerland.
Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland extended her gratitude to the Mayor for the reception, underlining that this is her first visit to Novi Sad, of which she immediately got good impression.
Mayor Vučević introduced the guest to cultural, educational, economic and touristic potentials of Novi Sad, and emphasized the good cooperation of the local government and its administration with the University of Novi Sad, as well as the importance of International Agricultural Fair of Novi Sad, which has been taking place for more than eight decades. Mayor Vučević presented Novi Sad as a city boasting tradition, but also as a city which at the same time is a modern IT center.
Mayor Vučević elaborated also on the topic of City funds allocated for the purpose of Self-employment projects, as well as of Internship and Practical Training Programs for final-year university students, explaining their significance as an investment in education, educated and trained work force and more prosperous and secure future.
Deputy Head of Mission praised Novi Sad, well-known for its multiconfessional, multicultural and multiethnic environment, and emphasized its status as one of the most stable local governments in Serbia. In addition to that, she also emphasized the significance of huge natural and human resources of Vojvodina and Novi Sad, as well as the efforts and activities of the capable City Administration, which efficiently asserts Novi Sad potentials to the focus.
