Voluntary blood donors’ and humanitarians’ Association of the Novi Sad City Administration, together with Novi Sad Red Cross and Vojvodina Institute for Blood Transfusion, organized a reception to honor and acknowledge the multiple blood donors. On behalf of the City of Novi Sad, the guests were addressed by the Head of the Novi Sad Healthcare Administration Ms. Mila Uverić Radović. 

Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović awarded the certificates to participants of the Danube International Seminar, organized by the Danube Region Research Center.

Novi Sad will host the European Veteran Basketball Championship between 25th June and 3rd July 2016. For that reason, leaders of world and European veteran basketball organizations visited Novi Sad in order to perform a control of the conditions for the organization of this event and talk to the City representatives and organizers about the upcoming activities.

Head of the Local Economic Development Office of the City of Novi Sad, prof.  Marijana Dukić Mijatović , PhD, accompanied by the Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović, attended the event “Days of Serbia in Nizhny Novgorod”, as members of the delegation of our country.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević, General Manager of "Ikarbus" Aleksandar Vićentić, Acting Manager of the Novi Sad Public Transportation Company Milan Stanivuković and Acting Head of the City Administration for Transport and Roads Viktorija Paunović visited the vehicle fleet of the Novi Sad Public Transportation Company, which has been enhanced by five new "Ikarbus" rigid buses.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević welcomed Ambassador of Canada to Serbia H.E. Philip Pinnington at the Reception Hall of the Novi Sad City Hall.
On the occasion, Mayor Vučević extended a warm welcome and expressed his hope that the newly-appointed Ambassador of Canada to Serbia will have successful years in service and that the relations between the two countries will grow even closer. Ambassador of Canada to Serbia H.E. Philip Pinnington thanked the Mayor for the reception and pointed out that it was his first visit to the City of Novi Sad.

The Call for Proposals has closed for the selection of cultural projects, including the art, professional and scientific research projects in the field of culture, co-financed from the Novi Sad City Budget. On the occasion, there was a press conference in the City Hall, hosted by the member of the City Council in charge of culture Vanja Vučenović and Advisor to the Mayor in charge of culture Tijana Delić.

Member of the City Council in charge for Healthcare Professor Zoltan Horvat MD, PhD officially opened the World Autism Awareness Days manifestation in Novi Sad attending the street performance “Umbrella for All”, dedicated to World Autism Awareness Day – April 2nd. The event is organized by the Association for Support to People with Autism and Milan Petrović Primary and Secondary Education School.

City Commission for Holidays, Awards and International City Cooperation gave its recommendation that, starting from this year, first week of April marks Youth Safety Week in Novi Sad, as well as to organize a range of activities in order to promote its significance. The recommendation has been adopted by the City Assembly. Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević, together with the Member of the City Council in charge for Education Mr. Vladimir Jelić, MSc, and the Member of the City Council in charge for Youth and Sports Mr.

Manager of the Local Economic Development Office and coordinator of the creation of the Novi Sad Sustainable Development Strategy prof. Marijana Dukić Mijatović, PhD, held the first meeting of the Coordination Team working on the design of that document.
