Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević held a press conference today, dedicated to the results achieved by the City Administration within the first half of this year, with the aim of informing the citizens of Novi Sad and the public of Serbia on the financial situation in the City, as well as to present realistic indicators for the first six months of the year.

Orchestrated outcry and campaign aimed against the City Administration by the Democratic Party – an opposition organization, continues, and that solely political manipulation still brings qualms, restlessness and disinformation into the broader public.

Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović received today the particiapnts of the regional conference for people with exceptionally short stature – Novi Sad 2015, organized in Kać by the Little People of Serbia Movement.

Conditions of keeping domestic animals on the territory of the City of Novi Sad are regulated by the City Ordinance (“City of Novi Sad Official Gazette” No.  60/2010, 12/2011, 17/2011 – corr. 1/2012, 65/2013 - Ordinance 13/2014 and 11/2015), which in its Article 49 Point 6 stipulates prohibition of feeding stray and lost domestic animals on public surfaces, common premises and courtyards of multifamily residential housing.

Regarding the news that unknown red liquid has spilled into the Danube today near the Žeželj Bridge, Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević is demanding an urgent reaction of competent companies and inspections, as well as to find who is responsible for this incident.

Deputy Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Borko Ilić and Member of the City Council in charge for Youth and Sports Mr. Predrag Svilar paid the official visit to the Slavonia Eparchy and His Grace Bishop Jovan.

Novi Sad delegation discussed with their hosts various forms of aid the City of Novi Sad to the Slavonia Eparchy, particularly bearing in mind that numerous people from this region found their home in our city following the Operations Bljesak and Oluja.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević attended the signature of Contract on construction of cogeneration plant in the Heating Plant "West", which PUC “Novi Sad Heating Plant”, in the framework of the program “Rehabilitation of the district heating system in Serbia – phase 4”, signed with the company “Energotehnika – Južna Bačka”.

Member of the City Council in Charge for Utility Affairs Mr. Vladimir Stојkоvić, together with the Manager of PUC Put Mr. Željko Džakula, visited two sites at which workers of this company successfully perform construction works despite high temperatures.

From July 16th till July 19th, the Novi Sad Medical Faculty Section of EMSA organizes the Medical Students International Congress, with over 150 guests and participants from Serbia, Russia, Algeria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, Greece, Germany, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine, Croatia and Egypt. International guests welcomed at the Novi Sad City Hall by the Deputy Mayor Mr.

Due to the extreme heat, Novi Sad Emergency Staff held a meeting today, at which City’s vital institutions and public companies submitted their reports stating the situation throughout the city is regular and satisfactory. Water tank trucks have been placed at some of the most frequent city locations, and hydrants have been equipped with taps.
