MAYOR OF NOVI SAD VISITS THE CITY OF PÉCS

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Мilоš Vučеvić and Mayor of the City of Pécs Mr. Zsolt Páva discussed today in Pécs the possibilities of cooperation between the two twin cities, in the areas of utility infrastructure, use of the EU IPA funds, as well as the Novi Sad candidacy for the European Culture Capital 2021.
Mayor Páva, whose city won the European Culture Capital Award in 2010, offered Mayor Vučеvić all the necessary assistance and support throughout the process of candidacy for the title.
- We have done it thanks to the team work and inventiveness in creating cultural contents, and it will be our utmost pleasure to transfer the knowledge, and share our experience with Novi Sad. – emphasized Mayor Páva during the meeting with Mayor Vučеvić.
Mayor Vučеvić presented his colleague the utility infrastructure development plan for Novi Sad, but also the projects which will position our city even more prominently on the cultural and touristic map of Europe, such as Youth Fair event currently taking place in Novi Sad, as well as the European Youth Capital 2018.
Novi Sad delegation was also presented the Street Led-Lighting Project, which enabled Pécs significant cuts in their budget expenses. The two mayors pledged themselves to establish even broader and more intense relations between the two cities, the cities which represent cultural, economic and university centers of their regions.
