Regarding the news that unknown red liquid has spilled into the Danube today near the Žeželj Bridge, Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević is demanding an urgent reaction of competent companies and inspections, as well as to find who is responsible for this incident.

Deputy Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Borko Ilić and Member of the City Council in charge for Youth and Sports Mr. Predrag Svilar paid the official visit to the Slavonia Eparchy and His Grace Bishop Jovan.

Novi Sad delegation discussed with their hosts various forms of aid the City of Novi Sad to the Slavonia Eparchy, particularly bearing in mind that numerous people from this region found their home in our city following the Operations Bljesak and Oluja.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević attended the signature of Contract on construction of cogeneration plant in the Heating Plant "West", which PUC “Novi Sad Heating Plant”, in the framework of the program “Rehabilitation of the district heating system in Serbia – phase 4”, signed with the company “Energotehnika – Južna Bačka”.

Member of the City Council in Charge for Utility Affairs Mr. Vladimir Stојkоvić, together with the Manager of PUC Put Mr. Željko Džakula, visited two sites at which workers of this company successfully perform construction works despite high temperatures.

From July 16th till July 19th, the Novi Sad Medical Faculty Section of EMSA organizes the Medical Students International Congress, with over 150 guests and participants from Serbia, Russia, Algeria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, Greece, Germany, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine, Croatia and Egypt. International guests welcomed at the Novi Sad City Hall by the Deputy Mayor Mr.

Due to the extreme heat, Novi Sad Emergency Staff held a meeting today, at which City’s vital institutions and public companies submitted their reports stating the situation throughout the city is regular and satisfactory. Water tank trucks have been placed at some of the most frequent city locations, and hydrants have been equipped with taps.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević, together with the Member of the City Council in charge for Sports & Youth Mr. Predrag Svilar, received today the athletes from our city who distinguished themselves at the European Sports Games in Baku and won medals in this prestigious competition. The reception was also attended by the Serbian 3-on-3 Basketball National Team – Dušan Domović Bulut, Marko Savić and Marko Ždero, as well as Ivana Jandrić, who won gold medal in sambo in the up-to-68 kg category.

Mayor Vučević congratulated all Muslims the Ramadan Bayram.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević received today at the Novi Sad City Hall Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia Ms. Mateja Norčič Štamcar.
The Mayor wished Ms. Norčič Štamcar a warm welcome, and pointed out the fact that our City’s most dynamic cooperation within the last couple of years, among all the embassies in our country, is precisely with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia, whose former Ambassador officially visited Novi Sad on several occasions.

The City of Novi Sad launched an open call for women entrepreneurs whose companies or shops are seated on the territory of Novi Sad and who are interested in entrepreneurial trainings. The education will follow preset curriculum with topics such as entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, finance and accounting, management and business organization, HR management, etc.
