Within the “Gitarijada Vojvodine” Music Event held on September 11th and 12th at the “Tatre” Football Club Stadium in Kisač, the audience was presented with photographs of the 1970 rock bands, taken by Mr. Zоrаn Vеsеlinоvić. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksаndаr Pеtrоvić, who expressed his pleasure that the “Gitarijada”, after 40 years, is organized once again in Kisаč.

In today’s Studio B edition of “Good Morning, Belgrade”, the Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Мilоš Vučеvić spoke of current social and political topics. He said that there is still no influx of migrants to Novi Sad, but that the citizens of Novi Sad show their solidarity through numerous humanitarian relief efforts and actions organized by various civil organizations. Commenting on the topic of a recently published photography which overwhelmed social networks these days, depicting a Serbian policeman holding a child in his arms, Mr.

First official “Gitarijada” in Vojvodina was held in 1975 in Kisač, where young and still unknown bands were given a chance to perform in front of large audience. After 40 years, this event will be organized again, on September 11th and 12th, at the “Tatre” Football Club Stadium, was announced today at the press conference held in the Cultural-Information Center in Kisač.

Apart from the twin-cities, significant cultural institutions and a large number of various organizations, our city’s candidacy for the 2021 European Culture Capital was also supported by the children of Novi Sad. At their kindergartens, the children drew on the topic of ‘Novi Sad – My City’, while the best ideas were exhibited today on the main city square, Trg Slobode, during the exhibition ‘Three Times Hooray for Novi Sad 2021’. Participants and visitors were addressed by the Member of the City Council in Charge for Culture Mr. Vаnjа Vučеnоvić.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Мilоš Vučеvić and Member of the City Council in charge for Education Mr. Vladimir Јеlić visited today the “Ivo Аndrić” Primary School in Budisava, in which the City has invested considerable funds for reconstruction, so the students could be provided with most up-to-date teaching and education conditions.

In today’s Morning Program of the Serbian Broadcasting Company, Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Мilоš Vučеvić discussed several significant issues of vital interest for the City. As he pointed out, although the increase in the number of children creates an increased pressure in kindergartens, this sole fact gives him a great deal of joy, since it proves that Novi Sad is growing.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević received today the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland Ms. Pauline Manthonnex Gacaferri.
Mayor Vučević wished Ms. Manthonnex Gacaferri a warm welcome to Novi Sad, and extended his utmost pleasure for continuation of excellent cooperation with the Embassy of Switzerland.
Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland extended her gratitude to the Mayor for the reception, underlining that this is her first visit to Novi Sad, of which she immediately got good impression.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević congratulated best Serbian female athlete Ivana Španović on her latest victory accomplished at the Diamond League in Zurich, as well as on another breaking of the national record.

On the occasion of the beginning of the 2015/16 school year, a meeting was held on students’ safety, attended by the Head of the City Administration for Education Ms. Lidija Tomaš. At the meeting, the following topics were presented: ‘The Analysis of juvenile delinquent behavior on the territory of the South Bačka District in 2014/15’, as well as ‘Measure plan for realization of students’ and schools’ safety for the 2015/16 school year’.

The City of Novi Sad hosted a big international forum of entrepreneurs from Serbia and the Czech Republic at the Petrovaradin Fortress, with participants including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka. The event organized by Serbian and Czech chambers of commerce welcomed 40 entrepreneurs from those two countries.
