Today in Shanghai, Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin met with SHAC Automotive Industry Deputy General Director Gong Min and toured the company's R&D facility, which is putting 40 million euros into establishing a manufacturing facility in Novi Sad.

The opening of the 4th China-Central and Eastern European (CEEC) Fair was attended by Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin. In addition to nine nations, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, the fair is attended by fourteen Central and Eastern European nations. At the Expo, 8,000 distinct specialty items are being promoted. With items from the food and beverage, cosmetics, and veterinary categories, 48 exhibitors will represent Serbia. IT firms will also be there.

The China-Central and Eastern Europe Mayors' Forum is being held in the Chinese City of Ningbo today, and Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin addressed to the attendees. Mićin discussed the most significant initiatives and investments as well as Novi Sad's potential for growth, culture, and the economy.

Today, in the Ceremonial Salons of the Petrovaradin Fortress, Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin met with British Ambassador H.E. Edward Ferguson. On this occasion, the Mayor said he was pleased the Ambassador was attending the conference "One Region, One Market – A Step Towards the EU Common Market," stating that it is crucial to promote and expedite trade, economic cooperation, and interaction in Europe.

Among Novi Sad's twin cities, Norwich has one of the longest and most productive collaboration, Mayor Mićin said.

In honor of the fallen soldiers of the National Liberation War 1941–1945, wreaths were laid at the Memorial Cemetery in Novi Sad on May 9, Victory Day over Fascism. The Mayor of Novi Sad Žarko Mićin, the head of the South Bačka Administrative District Milan Novaković, representatives of the SUBNOR City Board, a Serbian Army delegation headed by Brigadier General Jovica Matić, the commander of the First Land Army Brigade, and representatives of the city's reserve military officers organization laid the wreaths.

Deputy Mayor Đurađ Jakšić and Assistant Mayor Ivan Siler, on the occasion of Shiraz City Day, are on their first official visit to the Iranian city, twin city of Novi Sad.

As part of the visit and celebration of Shiraz Day, Jakšić and Siler attended the official reception of foreign delegations, where they congratulated Mayor Muhammad Hassan Asadi on City Day on behalf of Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin and all Novi Sad residents and presented him with a special gift.

At the City Hall, Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin met with H.E. Imamura Akira, the Japanese Ambassador. The Mayor greeted him warmly and said he was very happy with his visit. As was determined during the discussion, the shared affection between the peoples of Serbia and Japan stems from years of positive diplomatic relations between the two nations, and as a result, both parties are willing to increase their economic and cultural interaction.

The Chinese City of Wuxi and Novi Sad have signed a Letter of Intent that promotes collaboration in a number of areas, including trade, education, science and technology, culture, sports, tourism, and  economy. The Chairman of the Wuxi Municipal Economic Development Group, Du Xiaogang, and Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin signed the Letter of Intent to create collaboration.

Anđela Branković, the first Serbian boxer to win a gold medal in the world championship, with Dragana Jovanović, one of five Serbian boxers to win a bronze, were received at the City Hall today by Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin.They were joined by the head coach of the Serbian women's national team, Mirko Ždralo, the president of the Vojvodina Boxing Federation, Željko Mrdaković, the vice president of the Serbian Boxing Federation, and the president of the Boxing Federation of Serbia, Nenad Borovčanin.

Today, Žarko Mićin, the Mayor of Novi Sad, spoke to the public after the City Assembly approved the City's 2025 Budget, which totals 44.51 billion dinars. He wished those hurt in the Kočani tragedy a quick recovery and offered his condolences to the relatives of the deceased. After stressing that the City of Novi Sad will give the victims' families 10 million dinars from the Budget, he went on to underline the key points of the Draft Decision on the City Budget for 2025 that was presented to the councilors.
