Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević signed contracts awarding construction material aid to the internally displaced and refugees residing on the City of Novi Sad territory, with the purpose of improving their living conditions.  In total 17 contracts were signed today, for which the City Budget allocated 5 500 000 RSD.

Following reports of some media and of certain opposition parties, claiming that money belonging to the citizens of Novi Sad is used for financing advertising services of the SNS party activities for the purpose of securing one more mandate, City of Novi Sad responsibly states that such claims are malicious comments of those who are not in power and whose aim is to obtain cheap political points through misuse of the name of the currently most popular party organization in the country, as well as through misuse of the name of one of the most successful local self-governmen

Every year City allocates funds for partial reimbursement of travel expenses for high school students from Novi Sad who attend classes in other municipalities.

Member of the Novi Sad City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vanja Vučenović attended the official opening ceremony of the Novi Sad International Literature Festival. The Festival is taking place from August 24th till 28th, organized by the Vojvodina Literary Society. This year’s program will gather around 100 authors, translators, musicians and actors, and the guests will be poets from USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Denmark.

Member of the City Council in Charge for Traffic and Roads Mr. Nemanja Vukčević, MSc, attended the public class on traffic safety, held at the Štrand Beach main square with support from the Ministry of Construction, Traffic, and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia, within the project ‘Hit the Brake’.

On 22nd and 27th of July, at the Fruška Gora Radar Center, the City of Novi Sad handed over the total of 80 anti-hail rockets to the Emergency Situations Sector of the Serbian Ministry of Interior.

Through its Annual protection, arrangement and usage program of agricultural land, the City of Novi Sad allocated certain amount of the state agricultural land lease fee for purchasing anti-hail rockets, with the aim to supply them to the anti-hail rocket stations throughout the City territory.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević held a press conference today, dedicated to the results achieved by the City Administration within the first half of this year, with the aim of informing the citizens of Novi Sad and the public of Serbia on the financial situation in the City, as well as to present realistic indicators for the first six months of the year.

Orchestrated outcry and campaign aimed against the City Administration by the Democratic Party – an opposition organization, continues, and that solely political manipulation still brings qualms, restlessness and disinformation into the broader public.

Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović received today the particiapnts of the regional conference for people with exceptionally short stature – Novi Sad 2015, organized in Kać by the Little People of Serbia Movement.

Conditions of keeping domestic animals on the territory of the City of Novi Sad are regulated by the City Ordinance (“City of Novi Sad Official Gazette” No.  60/2010, 12/2011, 17/2011 – corr. 1/2012, 65/2013 - Ordinance 13/2014 and 11/2015), which in its Article 49 Point 6 stipulates prohibition of feeding stray and lost domestic animals on public surfaces, common premises and courtyards of multifamily residential housing.
