PARTICIPANTS OF THE MEDICAL STUDENTS INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS RECEIVED AT THE CITY HALL

From July 16th till July 19th, the Novi Sad Medical Faculty Section of EMSA organizes the Medical Students International Congress, with over 150 guests and participants from Serbia, Russia, Algeria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Georgia, Hungary, Greece, Germany, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine, Croatia and Egypt. International guests welcomed at the Novi Sad City Hall by the Deputy Mayor Mr. Borko Ilić and by the Member of the City Council in charge for Healthcare Professor Zoltan Horvat, MD, PhD.

- Novi Sad is once again hosting young people from all over the world, and this time our guests are students of biomedicine. I would hereby like to extend my gratitude to students of the Novi Sad Medical Faculty who very dedicatedly and with much devotion organize this event, thereby contributing scientific development, but also youth tourism of Novi Sad. I sincerely hope that students who participate at the Congress will improve their knowledge, and that will continue to work hard and improve their professional skills, since experts in this field are of the utmost importance for our country. – stated Deputy Mayor Ilić and wished all the participants a very successful conference and a pleasant stay in our city.
Member of the City Council in charge for Healthcare Professor Zoltan Horvat, MD, PhD pointed out that the importance of the Congress is that it enables contacts and exchange of knowledge and experience about contemporary biomedicine achievements.

- It is very important that students doing scientific-research work and writing papers have possibilities to present them at scientific gatherings. I am convinced that the knowledge and experience they gather here as a result of this Congress significantly contribute their further development, as well development of biomedical sciences. – emphasized Professor Horvat, MD, PhD.

For the last ten years, Medical Students International Congress is a project gathering medical, dentist, pharmacy, veterinarian, and molecular biology students. Participants have the opportunity to present their results, exchange ideas, make contacts and join most modern trends of contemporary medicine, either through lectures, or through interactive participation at various workshops. Scientific programs are complemented by visiting professors both from home and abroad, and some of the greatest experts from their respective fields.
