Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević received in the City Hall the police inspector of Novi Sad’s Criminal Police Narcotics Suppression Department Slobodan Drmanac, who arrested the robber carrying a knife and robbing the store shortly before, on Sunday 29th  March, although he was not on duty. The reception was also attended by the Head of Novi Sad Police Administration Siniša Radaković and the Head of Criminal Police Department Saša Barjaktarović.

Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević received in the City Hall  “The Regional Youth Leadership Forum“ conference participants, which takes place from 25th  to 28th  March in Novi Sad, organized by the European Movement in Serbia - Local Council in Novi Sad. The aim of the Forum is to contribute to the regional cooperation in the Western Balkans as well as to the future cooperation between young people from Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Serbia.

Manager of the Local Economic Development Office of the City of Novi Sad prof. Marijana Dukić-Mijatović, PhD, participated in the 2nd Business Conference "Transport & Logistics of South East Europe and Danube Region – TIL 2015" which was held in the Sava Center in Belgrade, under the auspices of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia.

Member of the City Council in charge for Education Mr. Vladimir Jelić, MSc, and Vice Head of the Provincial Government Provincial Secretary in charge for Education, Regulations, Administration and Ethnic Minorities Mr. Mihalj Njilaš, signed today the Protocol on the City of Novi Sad Accession to the Provincial Government Project “Introduction of the Serbian and English Language Bilingual Education in Teaching Institutions on the Territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina”.

Member of the City Council in charge for Social Protection, Children and Family Welfare Professor Nikola Ćirović, PhD, with Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović, Member of the City Council in charge for Healthcare Professor Zoltan Horvat, MD, PhD, and the President of the City Interethnic Council Ms. Ana Vozar, held a meeting today with the Expert Mission of the European Commission, dedicated to ethnic minorities.

Head of the Local Economic Development Office of the City of Novi Sad Prof. Marijana Dukić Mijatović, PhD, welcomed the international scientific conference dedicated to the “Electrospinning of nanofibers” technique, which was organized in the framework of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology COST.

Representatives of the City of Novi Sad – Members of the City Council Mr. Vladimir Stojković, Mr. Vanja Vučenović and Mr. Dejan Mandić, as well as the Vice President of the Novi Sad City Assembly Mr. Miroslav Ilić – attended the commemoration held at the Novi Sad Garrison, on the occasion of March 24th – Remembrance Day of the Victims of NATO Bombing.

City Tax Administration informs the taxpayers that, due to submission period of property tax returns for legal entities and entrepreneurs PPI-1, located at 1, Sloboda Square, additional City Hall service counters will be open. Apart from the already functioning counters at the City Hall (number 6, 7 and 8), counters 9 and 10 will also be open for taxpayers from March 25th. We remind all taxpayers that the submission deadline for property tax returns for legal entities and entrepreneurs PPI-1 is March 31st 2015.

The 12th Belgrade Dance Festival officially began today in Serbian National Theater, with a London’s Sadler's Wels Milonga performance, choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. The opening performance was attended by the Advisor to the Mayor in charge for Culture Ms. Tijana Delić.

Member of the City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vanja Vučenović attended the opening of the “My Town” exhibition, an event taking place within the 2015 Novi Sad Second Art Review of the preschool and primary school children. Following the event, best young authors were awarded prizes.
