Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević and the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) CEO Kirill Kravchenko signed an agreement on strategic cooperation today, which will enable realization of NIS projects in Novi Sad in the field of sports, culture, science, environment and which will help the socially vulnerable citizens in 2015. The NIS Company will allocate 15 million RSD for these projects.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević and the member of the City Council in charge of healthcare prof. Zoltan Horvat, PhD, visited the Novi Sad Military Medical Center, which has, since February 2013, been functioning as a general hospital with the secondary level of healthcare.

Deputy Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Borko Ilić and Member of the Novi Sad City Council in charge for Sports and Youth Mr. Predrag Svilar attended the opening ceremony of the Fourth International Football Tournament “Novi Sad Cup”. The Tournament is organized by the Association for Sport and Sport Activities Development “City Cup”, and is held during the Day of the City of Novi Sad festivities, from January 30th to February 1st in Sports and Business Center “Vojvodina”.  

Deputy Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Borko Ilić held a reception for the children from Štrpce Municipality, from Kosovo and Metohija, who visited our city from January 25th to January 31st.

Member of the Novi Sad City Council in charge for Utility Services Mr. Vladimir Stojković was present at planting of red roses on the green belt surrounding the Novi Sad bridgehead of the Varadin Bridge. Fort the occasion, 1246 red roses were planted to commemorate the blood of the innocent people of Novi Sad, spilt during the infamous Novi Sad Razzia in 1942.

Miloš Vučević congratulated Ivana Španović her new national record in 60-meter indoor event. She covered the track in 7.31 seconds, making it 3 hundreds of a second faster than the current national record achieved by Vukosava Đapić 10 years ago.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević held a press-conference today at the City Hall, on the occasion of signing the special collective contract for public utility and other public enterprises, between the City of Novi Sad and three representative trade unions.

 

The Local Economic Development Office of Novi Sad organized a presentation of the “Smart Cities” program entitled "Novi Sad, a smart city – activities and opportunities" for the representatives of SMEs from the territory of Novi Sad, primarily IT companies, telecom operators, Internet providers, innovation centers, programming companies and other ICT stakeholders.

Prof. Marijana Dukić Mijatović, PhD, Manager of the Local Economic Development Office addressed the attendees on behalf of the City of Novi Sad:

 

Vice-President of Government of Serbia and Minister of State Administration and Local Self-government Ms. Kori Udovički visited City of Novi Sad and discussed with Mayor Vučević the state administration employees’ rationalization plan. As she further clarified, this is only one of the visits the Ministry has been conducting since this summer to all municipalities, with the intention of preparing measures to be realized in order to implement fiscal consolidation of the state budget.
