MARJAN ČAKAREVIĆ RECEIVES MIROSLAV ANTIĆ AWARD
Member of the City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vanja Vučenović, and representative of the Antić Days Board Ms. Sunčica Marković, laid their wreaths on the grave of Miroslav Antić and on the poet’s memorial bust in the Danube Park. Closing event of the Antić Days followed at the City Hall Banquet Room, where this year’s awardee officially received his Prize.
This year’s recipient is the poet Marjan Čakarević, awarded for the collection of poems Language, published by Cultural Centre of Novi Sad. The decision has been reached by the expert jury – Mr. Draško Ređep, PhD, Ms. Ljiljana Šop and Mr. Dejan Matić. This prestigious recognition has been received so far by poets Dejan Matić, Đorđe D. Sibinović, Ljubivoje Ršumović, Oto Horvat, Stevan Tontić, Nikola Vujčić and Tomislav Marinković.

The City of Novi Sad, honoring the memory of the great poet Miroslav Antić, established Antić Days Manifestation, as a cultural event of special significance. This year’s manifestation, eighth in a row, took place from March 11th to 14th and was specially dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the A Blonde Lock of Hair‘s first publication in 1965.
