Member of the City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vanja Vučenović attended the prize award ceremony of the "Peace Poster – Постер мира" children’s art competition. For the occasion, some of the competing works were on display at the City Hall Banquet Room, followed by a concert performed by “Dr. Vojislav Vučković” Music School students.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević and Member of the City Council in charge for Sports and Youth Mr. Predrag Svilar received today Serbian FED Cup Team Selector Ms. Tatjana Ječmenica Jeftić. The London Draw decided that our national selection, in the forthcoming FED Cup B Group matches, will be playing at home against Paraguay. The matches are set for April 18th and 19th.

Representatives of the Novi Sad Economy Administration, along with six organic producers from Novi Sad, are participating at the leading organic products exhibition BIOFACH 2015, in Nuremberg, Germany. The visit to this important event, which gathers prominent organic food producers, has been realized in accordance with the City of Novi Sad Action Plan for Organic Food Production Development. 

New kindergartens of the “Radosno Detinjstvo” Preschool Institution, in Radnička Street, in Petrovaradin and Veternik, are ready to open and are to start functioning within the month. The facilities are entirely completed and equipped, usage permits have been issued, and landscaping is in its final stages at all locations. Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević, together with the Manager of the Novi Sad PUE Distant Heating Mr. Dobrosav Arsović, held a press conference today summarizing the company’s business results, emphasizing the finalization of works on the Plant North, as well as commencement of works on the Plant East.

Member of the City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vanja Vučenović officially opened the exhibition of works from 23rd “Saint Sava and Our Time” competition. The topic was “The Great War 100th Anniversary”, and the organization has been entrusted to Circle of Serbian Sisters of Bačka Serbian Orthodox Diocese, to the Board of Religious Education of Bačka Serbian Orthodox Diocese, to the Center of Visual Arts Education for Children and Youth of Vojvodina, as well as to the Association of Teachers of Vojvodina.

Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović visited today Jovan Dučić Primary School in Petrovaradin, where Judo Club “Borac” organizes free training lessons for students. The training is part of a broader effort to organize free sport activities for primary school students of Novi Sad, which in turn significantly contributes primary school violence prevention.

The City of Novi Sad organized a closing conference in the City Hall, presenting the results of its project "Lime Trees & Honey Bees for Sustainable Development of the Danube Microregion". The project’s Lead Beneficiary was the City of Novi Sad, while the funding was received by the European Union and Austrian Development Agency in the framework of the program "Socio-economic Development of the Danube Serbia region". The project value was €222,658.88, out of which €171,915.01 was the grant amount.

Digitized paintings exhibition of the world famous Indian author, playwright, poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore, opens today at the Novi Sad City Library “Anica Savić Rebac” branch. The exhibition was officially opened by the Ambassador of India H.E. Mrs. Narinder Chauhan, while the City Administration was represented by the Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović.

Member of the City Council in charge for Sports and Youth Mr. Predrag Svilar, together with the Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović, welcomed the President of the Serbian Volleyball Association Mr. Aleksandar Boričić, Vice-President Mr. Vladimir Grbić, and Marketing Director Mr. Zoran Avramović. At the ceremony, Mr. Petrović received on behalf of the Mayor Vučević, the trophy awarded for exceptional cooperation and contribution to Serbian volleyball and its development. The trophy is awarded by the Serbian Volleyball Association.
