RECEPTION FOR THE EU HEAD OF DELEGATION IN THE CITY HALL

Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević received in the City Hall the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport during his visit to Novi Sad.

During the meeting’s discussion, Mayor Vučević and Michael Davenport emphasized the two most important issues in Novi Sad, namely the “Žeželj” bridge construction, as well as opening of the EU Info- corner Office in Mihajla Pupina Boulevard.

Likewise, they considered the concrete solutions related to the “Žeželj“ bridge construction in Novi Sad, as well as the participation and roles of all partners in this complex project,  which are, in addition to the City of Novi Sad , the Republic  of Serbia Government, the Government of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina , the European Commission and  the "Serbian Railways".

Ambassador Michael Davenport expressed his strong support for Serbia’s European route, while both officials agreed that the opening of the EU Info Corner, which will take place soon, is an excellent way to better acquaint the citizens with the functioning of the EU.

Mayor Vučević pointed out that the City of Novi Sad is following the policies of the Republic of Serbia when it comes to European integrations and is making maximum effort in the framework of its competences to make Serbia’s route to the European Union as fast as possible, while it will continue to provide all types of support to the representatives of the European Union in Serbia.
