MAYOR CONGRATULATES NOVI SAD POLICE ADMINISTRAION

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević congratulated the Novi Sad Police Administration for the quick reaction and prompt apprehension of a suspect wanted for shooting at houses in the neighborhoods of Petrovaradin.

- Officers of the Ministry of Interior have worked intensively in order to locate and identify the person who shot from fire arms in the neighborhoods of Petrovaradin. We immediately increased the number of patrols and officers in this part of the City in order to locate and apprehend the perpetrator. Circumstances surrounding this incident have all kept us in disbelief and misgiving, but our police officers reacted promptly, and following a coordinated and an efficient action, succeeded in scattering all our fears, and eventually, apprehending a potentially extremely dangerous individual. No one is allowed to cause discomfort, let alone to terrorize the population and jeopardize our City’s public security and our citizens’ personal security and wellbeing. It is a great fortune that these shootings caused no fatalities or bodily harm, and the credit for it should go to our own Police force, due to whose timely and professional reaction our citizens’ personal safety and safety of their property was maintained. – said Mayor Vučević and extended his congratulations to all officers of the Novi Sad Police Administration who participated in locating and apprehending of the suspect.
