Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević congratulated best Serbian female athlete Ivana Španović on her latest victory accomplished at the Diamond League in Zurich, as well as on another breaking of the national record.

On the occasion of the beginning of the 2015/16 school year, a meeting was held on students’ safety, attended by the Head of the City Administration for Education Ms. Lidija Tomaš. At the meeting, the following topics were presented: ‘The Analysis of juvenile delinquent behavior on the territory of the South Bačka District in 2014/15’, as well as ‘Measure plan for realization of students’ and schools’ safety for the 2015/16 school year’.

The City of Novi Sad hosted a big international forum of entrepreneurs from Serbia and the Czech Republic at the Petrovaradin Fortress, with participants including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka. The event organized by Serbian and Czech chambers of commerce welcomed 40 entrepreneurs from those two countries.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Мilоš Vučеvić visited today the Novi Sad Branch of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), and discussed with its President Mr. Stеvаn Pilipоvić and his associates the SANU activities for the forthcoming period.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević visited today the Veterinary Scientific Institute on the occasion of their 65th anniversary. General Manager of the Institute Prof. Miroslav Ćirković, PhD, awarded the Mayor a special memorial plaque, marking the cooperation and successes of the mutual cooperation so far.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević, together with the Member of the City Council in charge for Education Mr. Vladimir Jelić, opened today a new kindergarten building of the Novi Sad “Radosno Detinjstvo” Preschool Institution, in Veternik in the Paunova Street. The facility’s construction started in 2013, and its size is 3317 m2, while the open spaces amount to 1200 m2. The kindergarten has 8 working rooms, each of 60 m2 in size. Their purpose is for the whole-day accommodation of children, as well as for the crib-age children.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević attended the reception of the first-class pupils at the “Đura Jakšić” Primary School in Kać. The Mayor wished all the students a very successful start, to be good students and a lot of new friends.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević and the Minister of engineering, traffic and infrastructure Zorana Mihajlović participated today in the activities of the ‘Safe Driver Project’, organized by the City Administration for Roads and Traffic. The aim of the event is to increase the safety in traffic of all its participants throughout the territory of the City of Novi Sad.

Member of the City Council in charge for Utility Affairs Mr. Vladimir Stojković attended today the Panel Discussion held within the ‘Biciklana Fest’, organized by the ‘Novi Sad Bicycle Initiative’.

Member of the City Council in charge for Sports and Youth Mr. Predrag Svilar officially opened today the Balkan U17 Badminton Championship 2015 in Novi Sad. The Championship is taking place until August 30th in Novi Sad, organized by the Serbia Badminton Association, with support from the City of Novi Sad and the Ministry of Sports and Youth of the Republic of Serbia.
