Mayor of the City of Novi Sa Mr. Мilоš Vučеvić welcomed the decision of the Novi Sad District Heating Company to commence heating of the Novi Sad apartments, in order to provide warm homes and adaptation for the upcoming season – with least possible discomfort and consequences for our citizens’ health and wellbeing.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Мilоš Vučеvić received today the celebrated Novi Sad scientist Stefan Velja, who was awarded highest world recognitions for his invention – the blood clot trapping and break-up device ‘The Trhombus Guard’. The Mayor wished the young scientist a lot of success during his studies in Vienna, as well as his expectations that, following graduation, Stefan Velja will return to his country and his town.

In his address prior to the City Assembly session, Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Мilоš Vučеvić said that a large part of today’s agenda is related to the city planning documentation in order to provide better conditions for investors.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Milоš Vučеvić received today at the City Hall the Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Serbia Mr. Brаnislаv Мićunоvić and the General Consul  of Montenegro to the Republic of Serbia Mr. Мiоdrаg Kаnkаrаš.

Member of the City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vаnjа Vučеnоvić attended the celebration of the 170th anniversary of the Novi Sad City Library, the cultural institution which owes its existence to the Novi Sad Serbian Reading Room.

Member of the City Council in charge for Healthcare Professor Zoltan Horvat, MD, PhD, received today a delegation of healthcare workers from Latvia who, within the World Health Organization conference, visited Serbia from September 21st to 24th.

City of Novi Sad, through the City Administration for Economy, within the implementation of measures "Training for Scarce Occupations" from the Employment Action Plan for 2015 has funded training in web technologies. The first group of 25 trainees have mastered the skills of web design (HTML, CSS and Photoshop) and gained an excellent starting point for further improvement and learning about web design and web technologies, while second round of training for 25 more students for PHP developers is in progress.
