Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević and his associates, accompanied by the representatives of Zrenjanin, Stara Pazova, Apatin and Irig, visited today the Serbian Orthodox Church Osječko Polje and Baranja Eparchy, in the Republic of Croatia.

During the visit, they met with His Grace Bishop Lukijan of Оsјеčkо Pоlje and Bаrаnja, as well as with representatives of various Serbian associations and the Serbian-community delegated MP.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević and Member of the City Council in charge for Sports and Youth Mr. Predrag Svilar received today at the Novi Sad City Hall the Vojvodina Volleyball Club players and its officials. Vojvodina Volleyball Club, having beaten Partisan last weekend, have won Serbian Cup Finals for the 14th time.   

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević received today at the City Hall the Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Serbia H. E. Mr. Michael D. Kirby.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević congratulated the players, as well as the whole team of the Vojvodina Volleyball Club, for winning today the Serbian Cup finals. The match took place in front of the home spectators, at the SPENS Hall. 

Member of the City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vanja Vučenović attended the prize award ceremony of the "Peace Poster – Постер мира" children’s art competition. For the occasion, some of the competing works were on display at the City Hall Banquet Room, followed by a concert performed by “Dr. Vojislav Vučković” Music School students.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević and Member of the City Council in charge for Sports and Youth Mr. Predrag Svilar received today Serbian FED Cup Team Selector Ms. Tatjana Ječmenica Jeftić. The London Draw decided that our national selection, in the forthcoming FED Cup B Group matches, will be playing at home against Paraguay. The matches are set for April 18th and 19th.

Representatives of the Novi Sad Economy Administration, along with six organic producers from Novi Sad, are participating at the leading organic products exhibition BIOFACH 2015, in Nuremberg, Germany. The visit to this important event, which gathers prominent organic food producers, has been realized in accordance with the City of Novi Sad Action Plan for Organic Food Production Development. 

New kindergartens of the “Radosno Detinjstvo” Preschool Institution, in Radnička Street, in Petrovaradin and Veternik, are ready to open and are to start functioning within the month. The facilities are entirely completed and equipped, usage permits have been issued, and landscaping is in its final stages at all locations. Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević, together with the Manager of the Novi Sad PUE Distant Heating Mr. Dobrosav Arsović, held a press conference today summarizing the company’s business results, emphasizing the finalization of works on the Plant North, as well as commencement of works on the Plant East.

Member of the City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vanja Vučenović officially opened the exhibition of works from 23rd “Saint Sava and Our Time” competition. The topic was “The Great War 100th Anniversary”, and the organization has been entrusted to Circle of Serbian Sisters of Bačka Serbian Orthodox Diocese, to the Board of Religious Education of Bačka Serbian Orthodox Diocese, to the Center of Visual Arts Education for Children and Youth of Vojvodina, as well as to the Association of Teachers of Vojvodina.
