Head of the Mayor’s Office Aleksandar Petrović opened one of eight European semi-final competitions in solving case studies of corporate strategic management and engineering (Tournament in Management and Engineering Skills – TIMES), which is held at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. The event represents a part of the European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management – ESTIEM Project.

Member of the City Council in charge for Health Professor Zoltan Horvat, PhD MD attended the Children’s Emotional Competence Development Seminar, organized by the Public Health Institute of Vojvodina, specially intended for kindergarten and primary school teachers, pedagogues and psychologists from the City of Novi Sad territory and the “Radosno Detinjstvo” Preschool Institution.  

In the Novi Sad City Hall, Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević welcomed the representatives of the Exit Festival, which received the 2014 Best European Festival Award in the category of up to 40,000 daily visitors. At this year’s ceremony, the 2014 seaside edition of the Exit Adventure, the Sea Dance in Budva, has been named the Best European Festival in the up to 40,000 daily visitors category, while in the main award contest in the over 40,000 daily visitors category, the 2013 winner Exit Festival found its place among European Top 3.

Member of the City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vanja Vučenović, together with the President of the Novi Sad Razzia Anniversary Organization Committee Mr. Miroslav Ilić, President of the Jewish Municipality Mr. Goran Levi, and the Parish Secretary Mr. Miloš Stojanović, was present at the press conference announcing the program of the Novi Sad Razzia Commemoration.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević met today with E-Government Directorate’s Director Mr. Dušan Stojanović. The topic of the meeting was how to improve the Novi Sad City Administration services, hosted by the National E-Government Web Portal.

E-Government has enabled our citizens easier communication with state administration and public institutions, simplified search for documents, submitting of requests, as well as delivery of administrative rulings and other documents.

• Indra is coordinating the consortium of 15 companies and government bodies that is developing the project, which will be piloted in the cities of Santander, Florence and Novi Sad and the West Midlands region

• MobiWallet will turn any smartphone into a payment terminal with top-up on the go, anywhere, thanks to technologies like NFC tags, 2D barcodes, interactive websites and augmented reality

Owing to the Society for Economic and Trade Cooperation and Friendship between the Republic of Serbia and the People's Republic of China, Mayor Miloš Vučević signed on behalf of the City of Novi Sad the Memorandum of Understanding with Mr. Meng Yan, representing the Shandong Province of China.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević attended the meeting of the West Balkans working group of the Committee of the Regions. The topic of the meeting was EU–Serbia, accession negotiations and their impact on the subnational level of government, decetralization process in Serbia, role of local and regional government levels in the improvement and compliance with human rights and protection of minorities.

The President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić and Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević visited the Medveđ family farm, the biggest Serbian carrot producer, in the village of Begeč near Novi Sad.
According to the owner, the farm features a cold storage plant and state-of-the-art mechanization and produces from five to seven thousand tons of carrot in a year.

Delegation of the City of Kistelek visited the City of Novi Sad for the purpose of the second workshop in the framework of the project “Joint Creation of Conditions for Development of SMEs in the Cross-Border Region” (SMESCBC). The project is financed from the Hungary-Serbia IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program, in the total value of 114,196 EUR, and it is implemented by the City of Novi Sad – Local Economic Development Office, in partnership with the Multipurpose Microregional Association of Kistelek.
