The Novi Sad city officials, Head of Mayor’s Office Aleksandar Petrović and member of the City Council in charge of economy Goran Sečujski, MSc, met at the City Hall with the Advisor to Slovenian Minister of Diaspora Marjan Cukrov and the representatives of the Association of Slovenians "Kredarica" Novi Sad.

Member of the City Council in charge of Economy Goran Sečujski , MSc,  attended the opening of the Hub & Coworking  ''Apolo'' premises established by the association “e-Front” . The association deals with the promotion of entrepreneurship through training events and events that connect the entrepreneurs among themselves, but also with mentors and investors in order to develop their business idea.

Last week, Sports Athletic Games were held in the German city of Dortmund. As many as nine crews from Germany, Poland, Serbia, Hungary, The Netherlands, Sweden and Belgium competed at this traditional tournament. Novi Sad and Serbia were represented by the AC Vojvodina’s pioneer category, who won six gold, nine silver and thirteen bronze medals, as well as third place in the team competition. Young athletes were supported during the competition in Dortmund by the Head of Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović, who congratulated them on their magnificent success.

Fifth conference gathering experts engaged in the area of juvenile crime and misdemeanor in the South Bačka District was held today at the Banquet Room of the Novi Sad City Hall.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević presented today on the Sloboda Square awards to the participants of the art competition “She Earned It!”, within the framework of the humanitarian campaign “To Women, for the Children”. The event was held on the occasion of March 8th. The organizer and responsible for the project is Jovan Jovanović Primary School from Sremska Kamenica, while the entire proceeds will be transferred to the Fund for Children Treatment in Abroad. 

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević congratulated Ivana Španović on the prestigious European long jump champion title, following her triumph at the European Athletics Indoor Championships Prague 2015.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević attended the official opening of the “Fairy” Kindergarten of the Radosno Detinjstvo Preschool Institution, in Radnička Street, whose construction had commenced in 2012. The facility is over 3000 m2 large, and can accommodate approximately 300 children. Along with the children, their teachers and the Head of the Institution Ms. Mirjana Đurđev, the ceremony has been also attended by Members of the City Council, as well as numerous other guests.

Young athletes of the Vojvodina Athletic Club departed today to the City of Dortmund for the Athletic Games hosted by that city. The young athletes were seen off by the Member of the City Council in charge for Sports and Youth Mr. Predrag Svilar, who stated that participation of our children at this championship represents one of the nicest and most appealing examples of international cooperation between the sister cities of Novi Sad and Dortmund.

The City Administration for Environmental Protection is informing all the stakeholders that public hearings regarding the drafts of the 2015–2024 Novi Sad Environmental Protection Program and the 2015–2030 Novi Sad Green Development Strategy will be held between March 2nd and March 16th, 2015. The mentioned documents are available at the official website of the City Administration for Environmental Protection www.environovisad.org.rs.

The City of Novi Sad and the Exit Foundation organized a press conference in the City Hall, presenting the activities and plans of the City of Novi Sad regarding its application for the 2018 European Youth Capital. On the occasion, all the key stakeholders in the application signed a cooperative agreement, while also involved in the application process are the Serbian Union of Students, as a representative of the Local Board of Project Consortium, and the Serbian Youth Umbrella Organization, as the representative of the National Board of Project Consortium.
