Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević was present at the celebration of the World Day of Civil Defence on March 1st on the premises of the Fire Brigade Novi Sad, in the organization of the City of Novi Sad and the Department for Emergency Situations in Novi Sad. The celebration aims to increase the level of citizens’ protective awareness in relation to their preparedness for and prevention of self-protection measures in the event of accidents or natural, technological and other disasters and hazards.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević visited today the site of the new Culture Center Futog and laid the cornerstone of the future facility in Sima Šolaja Street. Total cost of the entire project is 35.153.644 RSD, initiated by the Commercial Premises Public Company, while the Contractor is NPN Construction Company.

A contract on traffic monitoring system and its trial period use was signed today in Novi Sad City Hall. The signing parties were Balkan Road Control Ltd, City of Novi Sad and Novi Sad Police Administration, represented by Mr. Pero Andreata of the Balkan Road Control Ltd, by Member of the City Council in charge for Traffic and Roads Mr. Nemanja Vukčević, and Head of the Novi Sad Police Administration Mr. Siniša Radaković, respectively.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević and Head of the Novi Sad Police Department Siniša Radaković attended the official start of work of the Stevan Hladni Police Precinct in Novi Naselje.

Member of the City Council in charge of Social welfare and child and family care prof. Nikola Ćirović, PhD, and assistant to the Mayor Kiss Gyula, received at the City Hall the members of the Hungarian delegation visiting Novi Sad. The Hungarian delegation was represented by the Mayor of Baks Búza Zsolt, as well as the Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Human Resources of the Republic of Hungary Viktor Katálin Langerné, followed by the chief coordinator at the Ministry of Human Resources Sztojka Attila and project manager Polyak Terez.

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević attended a session of the Coordinating Body for Primary and Secondary School Violence Prevention in Novi Sad, held at the City Hall. Following the session, Mayor Vučević held a press conference with the members of the Coordinating Body, at which they presented the data on the students’ safety, as well as the results achieved so far regarding the issue.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević congratulated Ivana Španović on her victory at the Malmö Athletics Meeting.

- Her newest triumph in Sweden has proved once more that our champion knows no limits. Novi Sad is exceptionally proud of this outstanding athlete, whose energy and devotion to the cause can inspire and motivate us all to become better – emphasized Mayor Vučević.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević and Member of the City Council in charge for Health professor Zoltan Horvat MD, PhD visited today the Jovan Jovanović Dispensary of the Novi Sad Health Center, where a process of digitalization of X-ray appliances has been started. The City of Novi Sad has provided the Novi Sad Health Center with two universal digital radiography appliances, with digital image acquisition, flat panel, and motorized movement. The appliances are located at the Jovan Jovanović Dispensary and Novo Naselje Health Center.

The draft version of the 2015–2018 Local Action Plan for Youth Policies of the City of Novi Sad was presented today in the Novi Sad City Assembly. Members of the committee for creation of this document and a large number of representatives of youth organizations attended the central event within the public hearing. The attendees were addressed by Mr. Predrag Svilar, member of the City Council in charge of sports and youth, who expressed his satisfaction with the fact that young people have been actively involved in the development of the Local Action Plan.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević received today representatives of Novi Sad Police Administration and Gendarmery, awarding them prizes in accordance with the 2013 City Decision. The awards are given to members of the Police Administration for their outstanding achievements
