The closing ceremony of the European Youth Capital of Europe and the handing over of the keys to the French City of Amiens, winning the title for 2020, took place on the Grand Stage of the Serbian National Theater. The event was attended by the officials of the City, the Provincial and National governments, diplomatic corps, youth organizations, whereas the Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, handed over the keys of the European Youth Capital to the Mayor of Amiens, Brigitte Fouré.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević has met with the Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Serbia H.E. Tarzan Milošević. On this occasion, the Mayor wished him a warm welcome, but also a successful term in his ambassadorial function.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlović and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia Sam Fabrizi visited the access roads to Žeželj Bridge, and on that occasion they were opened for passing vehicles.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević received the newly-appointed US Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Anthony F. Godfrey. On this occasion, the Mayor wished him a warm welcome and congratulated him on the appointment.

At the City Hall meeting, the Mayor and the Ambassador discussed the possibilities of promoting the cooperation in all vital areas, assessing that the experiences so far have been fruitful and positive on mutual satisfaction.

Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević has met the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Serbia H.E. Sian MacLeod at the City Hall. The officials discussed the opportunities to further enhance good relations especially in the areas of culture, education and economy.

Vučević said that Novi Sad and Norwich, as twin cities, have been cooperating well for decades, and that both Peter and the late Diana Beckley, as honorary citizens, have contributed greatly to strengthening of their mutual ties.

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević has met the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia Sam Fabrizi at City Hall.

On this occasion, they expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation  achieved so far on the projects implemented jointly with the European Union and it was estimated that engagement in this field will continue with the same intensity.

He welcomed her to the current European Youth Capital and the European Capital of Culture in 2021 and emphasized that Novi Sad is investing heavily in international cooperation and strengthening ties with other cities around the world, as it strives to apply positive experiences and models from other successful environments in its own surrounding, when addressing the important issues.

Mayor Miloš Vučević received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany H. Е. Thomas Schieb who is visiting Novi Sad to mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The project “Lime Trees & Honey Bees for Sustainable Development of the Danube Microregion” has been shortlisted in the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) of the European Commission. The awards are given in five categories for outstanding examples of support and promotion of entrepreneurship in Europe and announcement of the winners for 2016 will be held on 24th November in Bratislava.

The member of the City Council for the Economy, Milorad Radojević, attended the presentation of the Programme of Cooperation between the Science and the Economy organised by the Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia and the Regional Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises “Alma Mons” with the support of the Administration for Economy of the City of Novi Sad.
