- It is a wonderful honor for me to be around young people who have no boundaries, who believe in themselves, who work tirelessly, who achieve unthinkable accomplishment, and who lift the bar. Thus, they become a source of motivation and inspiration for others, which is crucial. In addition to being a City of sports, Novi Sad is a City that promotes the spirit of sports and stands for global ideals. These principles include fair play, cooperation, and diligence. In particular, Anđela Branković's example demonstrates that being a champion is a matter of personal choice and, of course, strong faith, and that obstacles in life should never be used as an excuse for failure. I can express my sincere admiration to these young ladies and thank them for their hard work and for contributing to a broader, more beautiful image of our country – emphasized Mayor Žarko Mićin and added – we will continue to support sports programs and improve sports infrastructure in the future, and we will do our best to be the European City of Sport 2026.

The national team thanked the Mayor for the warm welcome and emphasized that boxing in Serbia has never been at the level it is now, when major world competitions are organized in our country.
