MEETING WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE EUROPEAN BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT
The Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, together with his associates, that is, the Deputy Mayor, Srđan Kružević, members of the City Council, Vladimir Stojković and Milorad Radojević, as well as with the Head of the Office for Local Economic Development, Goran Sečujski, held a meeting at City Hall with the representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, headed by the Director, Daniel Berg and bankers Jelena Čelenković and Marina Jukić.
The Mayor, Miloš Vučević, pointed out that this meeting was a continuation of discussions started on various topics at the previous meeting and that the purpose of that meeting was the concretisation of further cooperation.
The Representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development pointed out that the visit to Novi Sad was only the continuation of started cooperation and looked back at the previous meeting with the city’s officials in March this year.
Topics started in the previous period and discussed in more details in the City Hall today are related to the public lighting in the city, to the improvement of energy efficiency in the Public Enterprise Sports and Business Centre “Vojvodina” (SPENS) and to public transport, as well as to some other topics, such as financing of infrastructure projects in the city.
The participants have agreed that in the coming period, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, together with the City of Novi Sad will form project teams which will exclusively serve as the support in finding the best model for the project of public lighting, as well as, for the issues related to the Public City Transport Enterprise “Novi Sad” and the Public Enterprises Sports and Business Centre “Vojvodina”.
The Mayor, Miloš Vučević, and the delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have expressed their satisfaction with the presented concrete plan for further activities towards the realisation of these projects and they have emphasised that already successful cooperation is now one step closer to the implementation thanks to external cooperation and openness for partnerships.
