The Mayor of Novi Sad, Žarko Mićin, attended the opening ceremony of the U23 World Wrestling Championship held in the large hall of SPENS, taking place from October 20 to 27, with the participation of 1,100 competitors from 66 countries around the world.

The Mayor of Novi Sad Žarko Mićin and the President of the City Assembly Dina Vučinić held a meeting with a delegation from the City of Beijing, People's Republic of China, at the City Hall, during their official visit to Serbia.The Beijing delegation included Wang Xian, Deputy Mayor of Beijing; Liu Songbo, Deputy Director General of the Beijing Water Authority; Jin Hang, Deputy Mayor of Fengtai District; Wang Zhengzi, Director General of the Chaoyang District Water Authority; Fan Bin, Deputy Director of the Investment Planning Department of the Beijing Water Authority; and Liang Xiaoqi

The Mayor of Novi Sad Žarko Mićin attended a meeting at the Provincial Government building organized by the President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković on the occasion of the official visit of a delegation from Fujian Province of the People’s Republic of China. The Chinese delegation was led by Mr. Li Lin, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office and President of the Fujian People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

The Мember of the City Council for Ecology, Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection Vanja Petković visited Vienna from September 30 to October 2 as part of a study visit within the program “Strengthening Sustainable and Resilient Urban Development in Serbia”, organized by the World Bank with the support of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

The Deputy Mayor of Novi Sad, Đurađ Jakšić, and the Assistant to the Mayor, Aleksandar Petrović, are participating in the Salzburg Europe Summit 2025, held from September 28 to 30, organized by the Institute of the Regions of Europe (IRE). This year's summit is titled “Europe and Hope” and is dedicated to the current challenges faced by European cities and regions.

Deputy Mayor Đurađ Jakšić stated that Novi Sad’s participation in this summit holds multiple levels of importance.

Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Žarko Mićin hosted at the City Hall today an official delegation from the Chinese city of Xinyu, led by the Deputy Mayor Mr. He Lihua. During the meeting, held in the City Council Hall, the possibilities of establishing cooperation in the areas of economy, sports, culture and education were discussed, as well as of the establishment of twin city relations. Both sides expressed their readiness to strengthen mutual ties and exchange experiences in various sectors.

The Mayor of Novi Sad Žarko Mićin addressed the audience at the beginning of the panel titled “Telegroup: Smart Cities in Practice – Technological Foundations of Urban Mobility”, held as part of the fifth annual Electric Vehicle Days, officially opened today at the Novi Sad Fair. The event is organized by Ninamedia and the Faculty of Technical Sciences, with RTS as the media partner.

Novi Sad will be the host of one of the four stages of the 64th edition of the international cycling competition "Tour of Serbia", organized by the Cycling Federation of Serbia from October 16 to 19. Mayor of Novi Sad, Žarko Mićin, held a working meeting at the City Hall with the organizers, during which the goals and technical details of this important sporting event were defined.

Tatjana Medved, member of the City Council for Sports and Youth, officially opened the “Kickboxing Gala Novi Sad 2025” – a world title match featuring our fellow citizen Aleksandra Krstić. The event took place in the small hall of the “Vojvodina” Sports and Business Center, organized by the Kickboxing Federation of Novi Sad.

The Mayor of Novi Sad, Žarko Mićin, and the Director of “Best in Parking – Holding AG,” Johann Breiteneder, together with the Director of the company “Inobačka,” Vukajlo Babić, attended the opening of the underground garage in Modena Street. In the newly constructed “Modena” garage, covering an area of over 9,500 m², 267 parking spaces are now available to citizens across three underground levels. Of the total number of parking spaces, 14 are designated for people with disabilities and eight for electric vehicles.
