First Reform-Calvinist families arrived to the city in the late 18th and in the 19th century. Shortly after having settled, they built a church, which suffered heavy bombardment during the Uprise of 1849. The temple was rebuilt only in 1864. The new Neo-Gothic church in Šafarik St, which stands even today, was built in 1865 by a famous architect from Novi Sad Georg Molnar. It was consecrated by the Bishop Pavle Terek. The Interior of the church is quite spacious and it sits 650 people. The choir and the organ are located in the eastern side of the nave.

Greek Catholic Church in Novi Sad, whose congregation consists of most of the Novi Sad Ruthenians, is located at the corner of Svetozara Miletića and Jovana Subotića Street, in a small churchyard. It was built in Classical-Baroque style, and consecrated to the Holy Apostles of Peter and Paul. It was constructed in 1822, on a narrow strip of land, so one enters it almost from the street itself. Its altarpiece, presumably, is the work by Arsa Teodorović, or Ivan Ivanić.

First Slovak Evangelical families arrived to the city in the early 19th century. Only after protracted preparations did the city council designate a location where the first Slovakian church in Novi Sad would be built (Senjska Market). City chronicles state that the main builder of the church was Jozef Cocek from Novi Sad, a highly prominent architect of the time. The church was completed in 1886. Stylistically, it mostly exhibits eclectic features, with prevailing classical elements. The enclosing wall was built and designed by Martin Sotić in 1901.

The first Catholic church in Novi Sad from the early 18th century was a modest and a rather temporary structure which was pulled down in 1742. the new church was built at exactly the same spot. After the fall of Belgrade to Turks in 1739, many wealthy Catholics moved to Novi Sad and saw their businesses flourish, which enabled them build fast. A new church was consecrated by the Catholic Archbishop Gabor Patačić in 1742.
