Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević attended the meeting of the West Balkans working group of the Committee of the Regions. The topic of the meeting was EU–Serbia, accession negotiations and their impact on the subnational level of government, decetralization process in Serbia, role of local and regional government levels in the improvement and compliance with human rights and protection of minorities.

The President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić and Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević visited the Medveđ family farm, the biggest Serbian carrot producer, in the village of Begeč near Novi Sad.
According to the owner, the farm features a cold storage plant and state-of-the-art mechanization and produces from five to seven thousand tons of carrot in a year.

Delegation of the City of Kistelek visited the City of Novi Sad for the purpose of the second workshop in the framework of the project “Joint Creation of Conditions for Development of SMEs in the Cross-Border Region” (SMESCBC). The project is financed from the Hungary-Serbia IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program, in the total value of 114,196 EUR, and it is implemented by the City of Novi Sad – Local Economic Development Office, in partnership with the Multipurpose Microregional Association of Kistelek.

The acting director of the Public Enterprise for the City Development and Construction Novi Sad, Goran Višnjic, in the presence of Olivera Simović, head of the Local Economic Development Office and the investors, held another meeting on the Enterprise’s premises on the implementation of the Decision on amendments to the criteria for determining the amount of compensation for the land development adopted at the last session of the City Assembly of Novi Sad.

Mayor Miloš Vučević visited the new facility A which will operate within the shopping mall "BIG CEE" Novi Sad, the largest shopping center in Novi Sad and Vojvodina.

Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, welcomed the representatives of the Socio-Economic Department of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Serbia and discussed the improvement of cooperation between the City and PRC. The delegation of the PRC was headed by the Manager of the Socio-Economic Department, Mr. Zhu Lianqi, who was accompanied by the manager of a corporation for the renewable energy sources, Mr. Wang Wei, as well as Mr. Yhang Liqi from the Embassy.

The Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, and his colleagues welcomed the delegations of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the City of Moscow, on the occasion of their visit to the Republic of Serbia and the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad.
At the meeting in the City Hall, they discussed the possibilities of closer economic cooperation.

Dear President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Dačić, Your Excellences, representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Agricultural Fair has become one of the most important economic and business events not only in Novi Sad and our country, but also in this part of Europe, which is justified by the thousands of exhibitors and business ventures launched at the Fair every year.

On Friday evening, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić, held a welcome speech at the formal ceremony marking the 90th anniversary of the Novi Sad Fair, the oldest institution of its kind in the country.
