Residents of Novi Sad can expect the renovation of all paths, the introduction of a fence around the park, and the replacement of existing furniture and the introduction of new ones, such as equipping with chess sets and sets containing a table with two benches, which will be intended for gatherings and spending time in nature for a larger number of people. The entrance from Hajduk Veljkova Street will be open, and a small square will be formed within the green area. Exhibitions, open-air galleries, and various other events will be organized on the central part of the plateau. Of course, the entire area of the park will be equipped with fountains and perhaps the most beautiful, the reconstruction of the lake is planned - said the Mayor and thanked the French Development Agency, the World Bank, the Embassy of France and Minister Goran Vesić for their support. He also pointed out that the second phase of the construction of the Novi Sad - Rumenka - Irmovo - Kisač - Čenej bicycle path is being financed from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, through the LIID project, and that through the LIID project funds in the amount of about 52 million dinars have been allocated for ground floor arrangement of the yard of the "Crvenkapa" kindergarten in Futog.

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, emphasized that the LIID project has a unique impact on improving the quality of life of Serbian citizens.

- This program follows our policy to make every place in Serbia a better place for people to live. The LIID project is significant because it will be implemented in all 145 local communities in Serbia, which will receive grants to solve problems that are often not a priority at the local level. These projects represent the best examples of everything we strive for in building the future of Serbia, namely sustainable local development and continuous work on the reconstruction and construction of infrastructure as a key factor in the growth of the standard of living of our citizens - said Minister Vesić.
