PUBLIC GARAGES
On 4th September 2020, the City of Novi Sad (the Grantor) and “Javne Garaže” LTD Novi Sad (the Concessionaire) signed the Concession Agreement for the construction of four public garages in Novi Sad - 3 underground at the location of Modena Street, Banovina and the Republic Square and 1 above ground garage in Šafarikova Street.
On the basis of the Agreement, the Concessionaire has the right for totally 43 years of Concession out of which 3 years for design and construction and 40 years for the management of public garages from the date the location has been handed over.
Underground Garage “Modena”
On 14th June 2022, works on the construction of the Public Garage in Modena Street started. The area of the garage is 9,575 m2 while the construction of the garage will provide 267 parking lots at three underground floors: 1st level, 88 parking lots, 2nd level, 87 parking lots, 3rd level, 92 parking lots. Out of the total number of parking lots, 14 will be for people with disabilities and 8 for electric vehicles.
The planned deadline for the completion of works is 28th February 2024.
Underground Garage “Banovina”
On 14th June 2022, works on the construction of the Public Garage “Banovina” started. The area of the garage is 6,280 m2. There will be 167 parking lots at two underground floors: 1st level, 79 parking lots, 2nd level, 88 parking lots. Out of the total number of parking lots, 9 will be for people with disabilities and 8 for electric vehicles.
The planned deadline for the completion of the works is 25th December 2023.
After the completion of the works, the City of Novi Sad will carry out landscaping of the area at the corner of Žarko Zrenjanin, Vladika Platon and Jovan Đorđevića Streets for which funds in the amount of RSD 250 million have been provided by the Construction Land Development Programme for 2023, anticipated as two-year financing (2023 – RSD 150 million and 2024 – RSD 100 million).
The preparation of Technical Documentation for landscaping of the area at the corner of Žarko Zrenjanin, Vladika Platon and Jovan Đorđević Streets in Novi Sad is underway. The contracted value of these activities is RSD 8,484,000.00.
Public Garage “Šafarikova – Uspenska”
Taking into account the complexity of the procedures for real estate expropriation and administrative transfer of land use rights at this location, as well as a large number of previous issues that have to be resolved, in the Annex II of the Concession Agreement dated 25th August 2022, the deadline for settling property and legal matters was extended to 4th September 2024.
The Concessionaire is obliged to design the minimum of 350 parking lots with allowed deviation of 10% if this is technically and technologically feasible.
Public Garage “Republic Square” – Underground
The Concessionaire is obliged to design the minimum of 400 parking lots with allowed deviation of 10% if it is technically and technologically feasible.
