THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD OPENS

Head of the Local Economic Development Office of the City of Novi Sad Prof. Marijana Dukić Mijatović, PhD, welcomed the international scientific conference dedicated to the “Electrospinning of nanofibers” technique, which was organized in the framework of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology COST.

The point in question is the promotion of modern technology of producing of new structural materials with specific features that enable the development of innovative "environment-friendly" products which have potential application in almost all areas of the economy.

- The “Electrospinning of nanofibers” technique is very important for today's global challenges such as water quality, safety or the environment and energy issues, which speaks of the actuality and necessity of the aforesaid meeting. Novi Sad has always been the City that supports scientific and technological development and innovation in addressing vital issues for improving the quality of life. We are very pleased that our University, which educates leading edge personnel and represents the source of innovation, is hosting such an important event- Prof. Marijana Dukić Mijatović, PhD, pointed out.

The conference gathers over 100 participants and will be held from 25th to 27th of March at the University of Novi Sad. The important scientific topic will be the case in point dealt by numerous  experts from our country, but also from many other European countries, such as England, Slovenia, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Slovakia, Turkey and Croatia.
