Member of the City Council in charge for Healthcare Professor Zoltan Horvat MD, PhD officially opened the World Autism Awareness Days manifestation in Novi Sad attending the street performance “Umbrella for All”, dedicated to World Autism Awareness Day – April 2nd. The event is organized by the Association for Support to People with Autism and Milan Petrović Primary and Secondary Education School.
- City of Novi Sad has been supporting events such as this for a number of years, in order to raise awareness of the problems of the children who suffer from autism, as well of the problems of their parents, who encounter various difficulties every day. The Association plays a very important role in providing such support. The most important thing is to, along with observing human rights and dignity, give a chance to these people to realize themselves as equal members of the community. – said Professor Zoltan Horvat MD, PhD.
The World Autism Awareness Days manifestation in Novi Sad will last until April 30th and will host a range of activities and workshops with the aim of raising awareness regarding autism in our local community and overcoming obstacles towards the people who suffer from it.
