March 23rd - City Statute

The First City Statute was not an entirely autonomous legal document. It was imposed by the royal emissary whose duty was to supervise the implementation of the royal City Charter. The Statute regulated how the municipal government was to rule and what its initial prerogatives and jurisdictions were.
