„E-Government“

The City of Novi Sad, through the Office for Local Economic Development, in cooperation with PUC "Informatika" Novi Sad, as a partner, applied under the program "Exchange 3" with a project called "E-Government" (E-government). The program was announced by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, and is financed by the IPA funds of the European Union funds, the funds in the total amount of 212.710,68 euros, in RSD equivalent. The project is an integral part of the Business Process Automation project from the Economic Development Strategy of the City of Novi Sad.

Information and communication technologies (ICT) for local self - government represent a chance to get closer to citizens and to increase the quantity and quality of their services, increase efficiency and reduce costs in the public sector, stimulate the introduction of new and improve existing services. The aim of the project is to define and implement the necessary prerequisites for the establishment of E-government, identify and create priority electronic services and make them available to citizens and legal entities through the portal and the counter for receiving electronic documentation.

The introduction of E-government enables all users (citizens, businesses, organizations, etc.) to complete their tasks in front of local self-government bodies simpler, faster and cheaper. Citizens will be able to use the services for which they are comfortable using the Internet and their personal computer, other home or mobile device.
