DANUBE INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ENDS TODAY

Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović awarded the certificates to participants of the Danube International Seminar, organized by the Danube Region Research Center.

- One more event with international features has been held in our city, hosting participants from abroad, more precisely from Europe, which only confirms our city’s international orientation. It is particularly significant to point out that the Republic of Serbia is a partner with the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg, where all the ideas have come from, so that by supporting this project we strengthen connections with the richest European province and Novi Sad, Belgrade and Serbia, where Novi Sad indirectly imposes itself as a regional center of the Danube Basin. – pointed out Mr. Petrović and wished all the participants, once they return to their home countries, to convey their compatriots beautiful memories from our friendly city.

According to the Director of the Danube Center Research Center Mr. Aleksandar Gajić, the aim of the seminar was to connect 25 postgraduates from the Danube Region, and that through various workshops indicate numerous possibilities and prospects of the Danube Region.

The Seminar is envisaged to enable its participants to acquire new knowledge and experiences in the area of Danube research and explorations, by means of various activities in order to develop awareness of certain features of the Danube Region, as well as of particular challenges faced by the countries of the Danube Region.
