The value of this investment is 225,977,983.18 dinars (including VAT).

This investment is of great importance for the City of Novi Sad, as it represents a bypass of the international EuroVelo 6 route. In the final implementation, in the coming period, Novi Sad will have a new cycle path to Čenej with a total length of 20.2km.

EuroVelo is a cycling network consisting of 15 long routes that cover and connect the entire European continent. In the section between Novi Sad and Bački Petrovac, the cycle paths are part of the National Cycle Route, which is also a planned bypass of the EuroVelo 6 route. The EuroVelo 6 cycle route starts in France and ends in Romania, on the Black Sea coast. Its total length is about 3700km. In Serbia, the EuroVelo 6 route follows the course of the Danube, and is also known as the "Danube Cycle Route".

The entire network of bicycle paths, which connects populated areas in the territory of the City of Novi Sad, as a bypass of the EuroVelo 6 route, will enable foreign cycle tourists to access numerous tourist attractions, both in the territory of the City and in suburban settlements. By affirming and creating conditions for the development of cycle tourism, encouraging faster and easier movement of people, developing sports and eco-tourism, the attractiveness and competitiveness of the tourist offer and the overall economic development of the region will increase.
