YOUNG INVENTOR FROM NOVI SAD EXCELS AGAIN

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević welcomed in the City Hall young inventor from Novi Sad Jovana Kondić, who won three gold medals at the 18th Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies "Archimedes".

At the competition, Jovana presented her invention – thermal insulating panel made of zeolite, cellulose fibers and cement, which has been assessed as excellent for its high efficiency, non-flammability and recyclability, that makes it environmentally-friendly.

- Jovana absolutely dominated in Moscow, winning three gold medals for her invention. I am always proud when I have an opportunity to meet and support successful citizens of Novi Sad, people who reflect the realistic picture of Novi Sad. This is Jovana’s great achievement, but it is also an achievement of her family and the team working with her, as well as another exceptional result of the Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Grammar School. We would like to have our best grammar school students continue their education in Serbia or at the most renowned universities abroad, but to come back to live and work in our country – said Mayor Miloš Vučević, congratulating Jovana Kondić on the notable success.

- This was a wonderful experience for me. I returned home with beautiful impressions, especially since I managed to make my big dream come true, to win three gold medals. I would like to thank the City of Novi Sad and Mayor Vučević who made possible my travel to Moscow, where I presented my city and my country in the best light. I am glad that I made my city proud and I hope that in the future I will have more exceptional results such as these – said Jovana Kondić.

Jovana is the second-grade student of the Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Grammar School, the winner of the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) gold medal for the best young inventor and the gold medal at the 28th Tesla Fest. At the 18th Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies "Archimedes", Jovana won the Archimedes gold medal, gold medal from the International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies "New Time" from Sevastopol and gold medal from the Croatian Innovators Association.
