VELOCITY 2022
June held many excellent things in its store for TRIBUTE project, and one of these was worth of the wait. The project was presented in Ljubljana at VELOCITY 2022, international conference where over 50 exhibitors across Europe met to share and learn about latest cycling innovations, to network and foster new partnerships. This event offered an opportunity for policy-makers, academia, industry and consumers, to acknowledge the key role the bicycle plays in building more livable cities.
This occasion was also the first opportunity for the consortium to present the project and its results in a high-level EU context, and for partners' representatives to meet in person. TRIBUTE found its place in the conference presenting those pilot actions with a thematic focus on Green Cycling Routes. Representatives from Politecnico Milano, Ljubljana & Maribor shared the project vision and approach, and gave insight into 3 cities' pilot actions, namely Ljubljana, Maribor & Zagreb.
On July 28 & 29 the TRIBUTE project partners will be meeting in Novi Sad (RS) for the next Steering Committee, organized back-to-back with the first TRIBUTE Transnational Stakeholders Network meeting. In this occasion, nuMIDAS project representatives have been invited to exchange knowledge and experience on city planning tools (i.e. the nuMIDAS Toolkit), and jointly discuss about potential collaboration. During the first Transnational Stakeholders Network Meeting, stakeholders from the cities involved in the project will exchange best practices, views and experiences on urban mobility plans and actions with the aim of starting the discussion the will be leading to the definition of the TRIBUTE Transnational Strategy.
