SERBIA–PARAGUAY DRAW HELD IN THE NOVI SAD CITY HALL

Mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević attended the draw ceremony of the Fed Cup World Group II Play-Offs between Serbia and Paraguay. Team Serbia includes Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Janković, Aleksandra Krunić and Ivana Jorović, while team captain is Tatjana Ječmenica-Jevtić. Veronica Cepede Royg, Montserrat Gonzalez, Sara Gimenez, Camila Giangreco Campiz consistitute the Paraguay team, with team captain Ramon Delgado.

- It is our great honor to host one of the most notable tennis events. Successful athletes, among whom tennis players are especially prominent, are the biggest ambassadors of our country, contributing to our image in the world. Novi Sad is the city of champions and we will always support athletes, striving to provide them with the best possible conditions for development. We have repeatedly ascertained ourselves as good hosts and event organizers, and we would like to thank again for the confidence to arrange sporting event of international significance at the highest level - Mayor Vučević said, adding that he expects top matches from both teams and that he especially hopes  for the Serbian selection success.

Serbian tennis player Aleksandra Krunić will open the tennis duel against Paraguay on Saturday in the match against Veronica Cepede Royg, while the best ranked Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanović will then play another match against Mercedes Gonzalez. On the second day of the competition, on Sunday, Ana Ivanović will play against Royg and Aleksandra Krunić against Gonzalez.

The tennis duel will be finalized by the doubles match, and it has been announced that Jelena Janković and Ivana Jorović will play against Veronica Cepede Royg and Montserrat Gonzalez.  During both days, April 18th and 19th, the matches in question will start at 13.00 hrs.
