RABINDRANATH TAGORE DIGITIZED EXHIBITION IN NOVI SAD

Digitized paintings exhibition of the world famous Indian author, playwright, poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore, opens today at the Novi Sad City Library “Anica Savić Rebac” branch. The exhibition was officially opened by the Ambassador of India H.E. Mrs. Narinder Chauhan, while the City Administration was represented by the Head of the Mayor’s Office Mr. Aleksandar Petrović.

- I am highly honored today that Her Excellency the Ambassador is guest of Novi Sad and of our City Library. The honor is even greater because of the official opening of Digitized paintings exhibition of the world famous Indian author, playwright, poet, philosopher and a Nobel Prize winner Rabindranath Tagore. I sincerely recommend all the people of Novi Sad to visit the exhibition at the “Anica Savić Rebac” branch and enjoy these magnificent masterpieces. To Her Excellency I wish to extend my warmest gratitude for coming to Novi Sad and I also wish her a pleasant stay in our city. – stated Mr. Petrović. 

According to the Novi Sad City Library General Manager Mr. Dragan Kojić, the exhibition is an excellent opportunity for our public to learn more about the less well-known affinities, interests and magnificent artistic achievements of Rabindranath Tagore – a symbol of Indian literature and one of the world’s finest poets.
