NOVI SAD FOOTBALL CUP HELD FOR THE FOURTH TIME

Deputy Mayor of Novi Sad Mr. Borko Ilić and Member of the Novi Sad City Council in charge for Sports and Youth Mr. Predrag Svilar attended the opening ceremony of the Fourth International Football Tournament “Novi Sad Cup”. The Tournament is organized by the Association for Sport and Sport Activities Development “City Cup”, and is held during the Day of the City of Novi Sad festivities, from January 30th to February 1st in Sports and Business Center “Vojvodina”.  

- It is my exceptional pleasure to see that children who train football, coming from our sister and friendly cities, are today here with us. Tomorrow we celebrate the Day of the City of Novi Sad, and you are our most cherished guests. I truly hope you will all enjoy the games, make new friends, learn more about our city, and always participate in the Tournament of Novi Sad in the years to come. – stated Mr. Ilić and officially declared the games open.

Participants of the Tournament are children born in 2003, they come from Novi Sad sister cities, as well as the cities with which Novi Sad has ongoing cooperation: Maribor (Slovenia), Pecs (Hungary), Timisoara (Romania), Sport-Team of Banja Luka, Vojvodina of Novi Sad, Bambi of Tuzla, Krpan Babić Academy of Osijek, PAOK od Thessaloniki, Partizan of Belgrade, Sturm of Graz, Slavia of Sofia, Brasov (Romania), Maksimir of Zagreb, and Szeged of Hungary.
